Bridges Out of Poverty WorkshopEChO’s Informational & Training Workshop – Thursday February 23, 2012 9 am to 3 pm Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity is excited to offer a Bridges out of Poverty Training at Evergreen Christian Outreach. Our Bridges out of Poverty Trainings are part of our Keys from the Community Program, which serves as a model for communities to address poverty by equipping participants to better understand the experience of those living in generational poverty and providing the opportunity to build relationships with our community families to help them achieve economic stability. The 6-hour Bridges out of Poverty Training is very interactive with small group discussions, videos, and a power point presentation, going over topics such as: • Mental model of life in poverty The workshop costs $10.00 person and reservations are required. The Mountain Foothills Rotary annual Ice Melt is underway. Buy a ticket with a date and time guess when the barrel will drop through the ice into Evergreen Lake water. The winner with the closests date and time guess could win the $1,000 price money! The Ice Melt’s proceeds benefits local charities including EChO. The barrel will be placed on Evergreen Lake at 10:00am, Wednesday, January 4th. Come out and help us celebrate. Ticket prices are listed below.
